Join the Accelerating Multiscale Materials Innovation through Advanced Electron Microscopy, AI-Driven Analysis, and Core Facility Engagement Research Interest Group for their second workshop.

This session will be a hands-on workshop on electron spectroscopy, a powerful chemical, optical, and vibrational analysis technique that reveals atomic scale characteristics and properties of materials in unprecedented detail. Electron spectroscopy is opening new frontiers in engineering, physical and life sciences, and materials science— and this workshop offers the chance to learn how it works, see it in action, and explore how it could apply to your own research questions.
All UVA students, faculty, and staff are welcomed and food and beverages will be provided. Optional: Bring your own sample to discuss potential electron spectroscopy strategies

This event is part of an ongoing workshop series covering different topics in advanced electron microscopy and AI-driven electron microscopy image analysis. Later this month, we will also host a pair of invited talks on both electron spectroscopy for inorganic materials research, and biological research to complement the hands-on training.

We encourage you to join us, learn the techniques, and connect with others across disciplines who are interested in advanced materials characterization. Please feel free to share this announcement with your students and colleagues.

Hands-on capacity is limited — register today to secure your seat!
