Professor of Biology and Biomedical Engineering Center Director-WM Keck Center for Cellular ImagingDr. Periasamy is a global authority in advanced microscopy, specializing in molecular imaging in living cells and tissues. He designs optical methods to study protein interactions, monitor cancer cell/tissue parameters, and pioneered fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) development.

Amanda Watson is an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Virginia. She is also affiliated with the UVA Link Lab, a multi-disciplinary center for research and education in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).

Dr. Xu joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The University of Virginia in the fall of 2014. He received his PhD in Mechanics and Materials from Columbia University in 2012 and was a Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2012 to 2014.
